Ronaldo Silva Broadbent Says, “Take the Good Risks” and “Connect with Each Other” in Intercultural and Other Relationships
In this episode, senior Ronaldo Silva Broadbent's reflections reach across multiple literal and figurative borders. He describes his experiences studying abroad in Tokyo, Japan; his dedicated involvement in student clubs, including the Japanese Student Association; and his work in the Global Engagement Office. Ronaldo also discusses his upcoming group presentation at the UM Conference on Undergraduate Research (UMCUR), where he and several Global Leadership Initiative colleagues (names listed below) will share their “RESTART: Re-Entry Support, Training, And Reintegration for Today” project. This collaborative effort strives to co-create local post-incarceration resources by working with and centering the needs and experiences of formerly incarcerated youth and young adults, ages 16-25.
