United to Beat Malaria, a campaign of the United Nations Foundation, invites students, researchers, and faculty to apply to attend our 2025 Leadership Summit, which will be held in Washington, D.C., from March 16-18th, 2025. This 3-day conference consists of 2 days of training and workshops to increase your knowledge of the challenges, opportunities, and funding needs for U.S.-supported global malaria programs. It culminates in a day of advocacy on Capitol Hill, mobilizing support for these programs with members of the United States Congress. These programs rely on funding through the U.S. Congressional budget to do their life-saving work of building more resilient health systems globally.
Volunteers will help advance bipartisan support for global health funding while developing their skills as policy advocates. United to Beat Malaria can cover up to 80% of travel costs for accepted applicants. We can also provide documentation to support applicants seeking external funding to attend the conference. Apply by January 5th at 11:59pm EST and reach out to mcross@unfoundation.org with any questions!
