Also, a big round of applause for our seniors who have made excellent strides toward tackling complex global challenges that present themselves right here in Missoula. From AI Initiatives to Food Waste, these projects were presented with professionalism, poise, and clearly demonstrated passion. School of Music at the Wilma, Dec. 16

The University of Montana Jazz Program is excited to present the 12th Annual 2023 Holiday Swing on December 16th at The Wilma in downtown Missoula. The Holiday Swing provides vital funds for the UM Jazz Program through scholarships, faculty and guest artists, and will also support a life changing trip touring and performing at Jazz Festivals in Europe this summer for the Jazz Ensemble.

The Holiday Swing’s special guest this year is trombonist/vocalist Aric Schneller (UM Class of 1988). Aric, a native of Missoula, is currently the Director of the award-winning Sam Houston State University Jazz Program. The event will once again offer two sets (5pm & 8:30pm) for an evening of holiday big band classics, a short but rousing auction, and delicious appetizers (for the early set) or dessert (for the late set).
