Interested in social media? Want to contribute significantly to GLI's social media platforms, including Instagram? Looking for an internship? Consider applying for our Franke GLI social media internship! This internship runs for the 2025-2026 academic year, but fall-only applications will be considered. You can take the internship for variable credits, depending on your schedule, and you can use it for your GLI Beyond the Classroom Experience.
To apply, please submit a brief cover letter stating your interest and a short resume with one reference to gli@umontana.edu.

In this episode, Franke Global Leadership Initiative (GLI) fellows Ava Heintzelman, Rosie Sterk, and Julia Brink discuss their multifaceted research project on neurodivergence, accessibility and equity, and workplace preparations. In addition to these student scholar interviewees, Kalei Smith, Maya Franscella, Faith Marshall, Allison Webster, and Sophia Boughey also are contributing members to this multidisciplinary team, which is advised by Devin Carpenter. During the interview, Ava, Rosie, and Julia reflect on the importance of communicating research in multiple modes and spaces and the meaningful social connections they’ve co-created with many others during the workshop series. Key campus partners include Experiential Learning and Career Success coach Sarah Dobson and the Mentoring, Organization, and Social Support for Autism/All Inclusion on Campus (MOSSAIC) Program, led by Dr. Jennifer Schoffer Closson.

Indigenous Ways of Knowing in STEM: For the second year in a row, the M109: Indigenous Ways of Knowing in STEM course will be offered to undergraduate students in the fall 2025 semester. We have up to 20 spaces in the class, which involves a place-based field trip to tribal nation homelands and learning from Indigenous scholars and elders.
