From the Desk of Darrel Burnett
Executive Director
As we sled into the month of December, we board the mental magic carpet and cross over into an exciting world of unbridled anticipation. With the re-set button just around the corner on January 1st, December presents us with the opportunity to set aside all the stress and, if only for a brief time, savor family, faith, festivities, food, and friends. The beauty of a Mediterranean sunset is no match for the look of wonderment in the eyes of a young child experiencing the joy of the holiday season. Regardless of the digits on your birth certificate, those memories never leave us no matter how ancient they may be.
I feel so blessed to have the opportunity to enjoy one of my most cherished gifts every day of the year, our wonderful volunteers here at The Automobile Gallery & Event Center. The team we affectionately call The Pit Crew is the greatest and most talented group of friends and workers anyone could ever want. We simply could not accomplish all that we do here at the Gallery without them. I was reminded of that again as our wonderful team came together to put up holiday decorations, no small task when covering 30,000 square feet here at the Gallery!

I hope you have an opportunity to visit us during the holidays to experience their dazzling displays. It is my privilege to share their names in print.

Ever wonder why Ferrari chose a prancing horse for its logo? The black horse against a bright yellow background was born when Enzo Ferrari was asked to paint a prancing horse on his vehicles to honor World War I Fighter Pilot Count Francesco Barraca, who painted a similar horse on his plane.
The letters S and F complete the Ferrari logo meaning "Scuderia Ferrari,” the racing division of Ferrari. "Scuderia" is an Italian word meaning "a stable for racing horses." Now, it all makes horse sense!

Cookies with Santa
December 5, 2021
10:00am - 2:00pma
|
|
Come to our Second Annual Cookies with Santa Event!
Start your holiday season off right with a visit to The Automobile Gallery Sunday, December 5th from 10:00am until 2:00pm.
Santa will be here to have his picture taken with the children in a 1972 Chevrolet Chevelle. Your little ones are our highest priority, so we will be taking every precaution. Santa will be behind plexiglass and the car will be cleaned and sanitized before each child enters the car.
Receive an individually wrapped cookie from Santa and leave him your wish list (blank lists available upon arrival). Individual wooden cars and individual crayons will be available for your child to color while watching Holiday Movies, and/or to take home with you!
All of this AND 100 cars! Come see our latest additions a very special 1966 Mercury Park Lane and a 2012 Mercedes SLS Gullwing, and yes our 2020 Ford GT is here too!
Children 12 and under are free with a paid adult. Adults are $10.00, but if you bring in a toy for Toys for Tots, adults will only be $5.00!

|
No pre-purchased tickets are needed! See you Sunday!

TOYS FOR TICKETS
Back for a Fourth Year!
|
|
We are so pleased to be a drop off point for Toys for Tots again this year!
To give you added incentive to bringing in your new, unwrapped toy to The Automobile Gallery, we will exchange an admission ticket for each of the toys that you bring in for Toys for Tots!
Yes, that is right, we call our program, Toys for Tickets!
In addition, you don't need to use them when you drop off the toy! You can come back, or you can even give them away as gifts! Think of all of the people you could gift a ticket to The Automobile Gallery! Put them in stockings, or on top of gifts. How about your mailman or hairdresser or child's teacher? And guess what...they don't expire!
So bring in your new, unwrapped toy to The Automobile Gallery, and we will give you a ticket for each toy you bring in! Let's make Christmas a happy one this year!
