November 2021 Edition
A newsletter for the car enthusiast!

From the Desk of Darrel Burnett
Executive Director
November is quite possibly the most extraordinary month of the year because it is the optimistic open door to another highly anticipated holiday season. Translated, all is right with the world in the month of November before the pushing and shoving begins on Black Friday, Black and Blue Monday or whatever the merchandisers are calling the holiday shopping season these days.
I find myself appreciating the serenity of November more and more because my stack of thanks grows higher and higher with each passing year. I have so many people to thank in my life, foremost YOU for the great support you have given The Automobile Gallery & Event Center as we continue to grow rapidly both in terms of our displays and fabulous collection, as well as our new initiatives like zSpace Virtual Reality technology. When our great Founder William “Red” Lewis conceived The Automobile Gallery & Event Center nearly a decade ago it was more than an idea, it was a belief…..a belief that a world class automotive gallery belonged in Green Bay and that people from all over the world would want to visit. That belief continues to manifest itself every day as visitors from all walks of life and all four corners of the earth enjoy more than a century of automotive history.
If ever a family epitomized the words “thanks” and “giving” it would certainly be the Starr family. Bart and Cherry Starr lived as one, loved as one and gave from their hearts as one. For everything you think you may know about the Starrs, hundreds of examples of extending a helping hand to those in need are known only by the recipients. In a world where far too many fail to live up to their image, Bart and Cherry Starr deserve our heartfelt thanks. It was a tremendous honor to reunite with Cherry and her beautiful granddaughters, Shannon and Jenny, October 23rd when they visited ]The Automobile Gallery & Event Center to see Bart’s Super Bowl I MVP Corvette on display courtesy of owners Steve and Joyce-Lyn Altieri.
It was emotional. It was family. It was everything we strive to be here at The Automobile Gallery, Genuine. With the rush and stress of the holiday season around the corner, may the month of November bring you great joy and love surrounded by family!

Good Friends
In for the Green Bay Packers Game
It is always a joy to welcome our friends, Joyce-Lyn and Steve Altieri and their family back to Green Bay. The Altieris are owners of Bart Starr’s Super Bowl I MVP Corvette on display at The Automobile Gallery & Event Center. Joyce-Lyn, Steve and sons Mike, Ricky and Ricky’s fiancé Valerie traveled from their home in Wallingford, CT for the Green Bay Packers – Washington Football Team game October 24th. The Altieris brought the Packers good luck. The Packers won 24-10!

Earlier this year, Tesla introduced a new DOG MODE on its cars that allows you to set a cabin temperature to keep your dog comfortable while you are away. In this mode, the infotainment screen also broadcasts a message for passersby, letting them know of the pet's safety. Notably, the feature includes both cooling and heating modes

Cookies with Santa
December 5, 2021
10:00am - 2:00pma
Come to our Second Annual Cookies with Santa Event!
Start your holiday season off right with a visit to The Automobile Gallery Sunday, December 5th from 10:00am until 2:00pm.
Santa will be here to have his picture taken with the children in one of our cars, a 1972 Chevrolet Chevelle. Your little ones are our highest priority, so we will be taking every precaution from social distancing to sanitizing. Santa will be behind plexiglass and the car will be cleaned and sanitized before each child enters the car by one of our Santa helpers.
Receive an individually wrapped cookie from Santa and leave him your wish list (blank lists available upon arrival). Hot Cocoa will be available for all. Individual wooden cars and individual crayons will be available for your child to color while watching Holiday Movies, and/or to take home with you!
All of this AND over 90 cars! Come see our latest additions a very special 1966 Mercury Park Lane and a 2012 Mercedes SLS Gullwing, and yes our 2020 Ford GT is here too!
Children 12 and under are free with a paid adult. Adults are $10.00, but if you bring in a toy for Toys for Tots, adults will only be $5.00!
No pre-purchased tickets are needed! See you then!

TOYS FOR TICKETS
Back for a Fourth Year!
We are so pleased to be a drop off point for Toys for Tots again this year!
To give you added incentive to bringing in your new, unwrapped toy to The Automobile Gallery, we will exchange an admission ticket for each of the toys that you bring in for Toys for Tots!
Yes, that is right, we call our program, Toys for Tickets!
In addition, you don't need to use them when you drop off the toy! You can come back, or you can even give them away as gifts! Think of all of the people you could gift a ticket to The Automobile Gallery! Put them in stockings, or on top of gifts. How about your mailman or hairdresser or child's teacher? And guess what...they don't expire!
So bring in your new, unwrapped toy to The Automobile Gallery, and we will give you a ticket for each toy you bring in! Let's make some kids Christmas a happy one this year!

Opening a Branch in Green Bay!!

SHORELINE HOMETOWN CREDIT UNION TO OPEN FULL-SERVICE BRANCH LOCATION ON THE EAST SIDE OF GREEN BAY
Manitowoc-based Shoreline Hometown Credit Union ($124 million assets as of September 30, 2021) has announced it is opening a new full-service branch in the East Town Mall redevelopment project in Green Bay, Wis. This is the first branch to be built outside of Shoreline’s base in Manitowoc County. The new branch will feature a drive-thru, ATM, night deposit, and an open-concept design to foster relationship building in the area. Ground-breaking will occur in December with a planned opening in Summer of 2022.
“Green Bay members have been selecting the award-winning services of Shoreline Credit Union more and more frequently. We are excited to invest in the community with a new branch, which will greatly expand our current and future members’ access to their Shoreline accounts." said CEO/President Nathan Grossenbach.
Supporting its communities is nothing new for the credit union. "Our primary focus in Manitowoc County has been giving back to the community through sponsorships and volunteering. We have been the main sponsor of The Automobile Gallery’s Cars & Guitars Car Show in this community for three years, and we will be sure to find new opportunities to help the community grow and prosper. All of us at the credit union are looking forward to serving our Green Bay members in the new office.”
The branch will offer a full suite of traditional services, such as auto loans and home loans, deposit accounts, and free coin counting for members. By appointment, the credit union also offers financial planning services through its partner, OneWisconsin, and Medicare/Medicaid planning services through long-time Green Bay resident Jeff Balistriere.
