Federal CARES Act and Emergency Aid

The University of Florida is awaiting receipt of the $15.5 million allocation from the federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act, or CARES Act. The CARES Act established and funded the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF) to provide emergency financial aid grants to students. These critical funds will help UF students cover costs related to unanticipated travel, additional technology requirements, or other needs related to an emergency situation.
