The Gender Balanced Theme - Part 5

Teaching Therapeutic Breathwork in the MidEast

For information on Therapeutic Breathwork and training opportunities go to: https://transformationsusa.com or inquire at info@transformationsusa.com

The Body Theme called Gender Balanced is developed around the fifth year of life when fully expressing oneself as a gender identity is being formed. It is in this developmental period during which ones innate ways for self expression as a male and female are affirmed or moulded into outer expectations. Restoration of ones true gender identification can be greatly assisted through Therapeutic Breathwork as explained by Jim Morningstar, PhD in a training he conducts in the MidEast. Graphics of less and more integrated examples of this theme are shown along with an exercise in expressive release from physical and emotional holding patterns.

Jim Morningstar, PhD, also shares a link to the playlists of many of his videos on breathwork and integrative psychology.

Happiness

starts with you.

Not with your relationships,

not with your job,

not with your money,

but with you.

Combatting Seriousness

Taking yourself too seriously takes the fun out of life and makes manifestation into a chore. I had a client once who grew up in a circus and gave me a prop to help me not take my work too seriously (put on red nose). I wear this in sessions or classes to combat seriousness. For those of you reading this account, visualize me teaching a class wearing a big red ball on my nose. Steve Behrman (a.k.a. Swami Beyondananda) was with us during the beginnings of the breathwork movement. He recommended a good “laughsative twice a day to insure reg-hilarity.” Remember: Enlightenment means to lighten up. Give your Inner Child the the official job of “Fun Advisor.” It may be awkward at first, but children learn about the world through play, imagination and delight. Unless your child is on board with manifesting your dreams, they run the high risk of becoming drudgery or nightmares. Some of us have alienated our inner child by becoming drones with regards to our work. It will take a conscious effort to win back their confidence. This does not mean making a joke of everything, but keeping a healthy balance of work and play. It is precisely this which keeps us both flexible and resourceful. Creativity thrives in an atmosphere where both sides of our brains are called into play. The manifestation process is lubricated by generous doses of joy. Somewhere along the line many of us took on the belief: “Life is Serious.” Here is our chance to reprogram this dour view of the amazing life we are creating together, with the new belief: “Life is Joy.” When you try this on, what does this set of clothes look like for you?

Here are two exercises to help in the process. The first we will do together right now. The second is your to try at home tomorrow morning.

Exercise One: Lift the corners of your lips toward your ears, put your hand on your belly, and repeat the sound of “ha” while exhaling rapidly and rolling your eyes. Let’s do this together and see what happens.

Exercise Two: When you first get up in the morning, walk into your bathroom and look in the mirror. Find something funny about the person looking back at you and begin to laugh at that person. What silly goose! Look how seriously they take everything! What a riot! Make faces at them. Continue until you feel lighter than you did when you woke up.
