This special community concert, presented by Krasl Art Center, will take place on Saturday, September 16, at 8:30 p.m. at The Livery.

Following what promises to be an eventful opening to Baughman’s exhibition, The Stop-Motion Worlds of Joe Baughman, on Friday, September 15 at Krasl Art Center, this lively musical event promises an immersive experience that celebrates the vibrant intersection of visual art and music. The concert is open to the entire community, offering a night of melodies, rhythm, and creativity that will resonate with attendees.

Joe Baughman + The Righteous Few, led by singer-songwriter and filmmaker Joe Baughman, offers a unique blend of folk-rock, indie, funk, gospel, and more. The band's music is a captivating reflection of daily Middle American life, infused with personal emotions, religious imagery, and Joe's experiences as a freelance artist. Their latest album, Antichrist Complex, released in 2022, earned praise from prestigious platforms such as Glide Magazine and The Bluegrass Situation.

The music video for "Vacant Spaces," the album's second single, garnered the coveted "Best National Music Video" award at the Indie Memphis Film Festival, solidifying Joe Baughman + The Righteous Few's creative prowess.

Joe Baughman's musical journey started as a solo act in 2011, evolving over time into a collaborative project. From the inception of The Flying DeSelms in 2016 to the birth of The Righteous Few, the band's evolution has been marked by musical exploration and a dynamic stage presence. Their unique sound, influenced by rock and folk, comes alive on stage, captivating audiences with each performance.

At 6:15, join Joe Baughman and KAC Executive Director & Chief Curator Tami Fauver in the galleries for a live artist Q&A. Afterward, mingle with the artist and enjoy a first look at the art on view. This event is free and open to the public, offering complimentary bites from The Bistro on the Boulevard and a cash bar.

Following the preview event, join KAC and The Livery on September 16 at The Livery for the "George Krasl Memorial Concert" with Joe Baughman + The Righteous Few. These free events promise an unforgettable experience that celebrates the profound connection between music and visual art.
