June 1, 2022
On Friday, May 20, surrounded by their loved ones, classmates, guides and the spirit of the SCM community, Isabella G, Julia L, Emma N, and Tesch W graduated from St. Catherine's Montessori High School.

In their commencement speeches, the students spoke about their Montessori experiences, love for the St. Catherine's community and their gratitude for the support they received during their time at SCM. The ceremony was livestreamed on Facebook where many offered their congratulations to the Class of 2022 and their families. After the ceremony, a reception was enjoyed by all and the graduates silently walked the school labyrinth and completed their journey.

Our four graduates received nearly $2 million in merit scholarship offers and were accepted to a combined 28 colleges and universities across the country. We wish them all the best as they embark on new adventures. Isabella will attend Johns Hopkins University, Julia will attend American University, Emma will attend the University of Arkansas, and Tesch will attend Rochester Institute of Technology.

A LOOK INTO OUR COMMUNITIES
First Plane (Ages 0-6)
This year, a Primary class favorite returned for the first time in two years, Splash Day! Held on the last day of school, students played in sprinklers set up in the Primary Courtyard. Before the activities began, classes held a short ceremony for children moving up a level. What a great way to kick off summer!
Second Plane (Ages 6-12)
Mr. Snow's class recently performed A Midsummer Night's Dream. Auditions were held before their trip to Alabama and they spent three weeks learning their lines to present to other classes and families. Way to go!
Third Plane (Ages 12-18)
On Wednesday, May 25, the Adolescent Community students and their guides gathered in the gym and over Zoom for the AC Affirmation Ceremony. Before the event, each student wrote a positive sentiment on how each member of the class impacted the community. At the ceremony, one-by-one, every student received an affirmation - read aloud by a classmate. This year-end tradition reminds them that each person has an important role to play in the Adolescent Community.
