St. Catherine's Community Celebrates Virtually
In a span of five days members of the St. Catherine's community had an opportunity to celebrate virtually with one another. On Saturday, April 25 we joined together as a community for Virtual Spring Fling, chaired by SCM parent Sarah Scherschel. Current families, grandparents, alumni and new families gathered in their living rooms, patios, pools and gardens for an afternoon of fun, homemade food, and great music! Over 77 households tuned in to hear the fantastic playlist provided by SCM parent, Nuri Nuri!

Today we celebrated the feast day of St. Catherine of Siena, our school's patron saint. Fr. Jeremy Zipple livestreamed Mass from his home parish in Belize City, Belize. Several of our students and parents participated in the liturgy by reading, singing or playing their instruments. Over 90 households watched the Mass live this morning on Facebook, and the video has had over 400 views. It was a blessing to have so many join in fellowship and prayer for this very special celebration.

Teacher Appreciation Week is May 4 - 8
This school year will be remembered as a uniquely challenging time as our community adjusted to learning and working from home. But we will also remember the dedication and creativity our guides and assistants applied to reinvent how they present lessons and interact with students and parents. They have risen to the challenge of keeping the culture of learning that is unique to Montessori alive in our home environments, and endeavored to keep burning within our students "the light which is called intelligence."
Help us celebrate these outstanding faculty members by sending us messages, videos, and photos that express your family's appreciation.

Screen Recording for iPhones and iPads
Many owners don’t realize that their iOS device comes with a built-in screen recording tool called “Screen Recording”. Now, is it something you would use on a day-to-day basis? Probably not…
However, it could be occasionally handy if, say, you want to create a short demo video, or want to document a problem you are having with your device, or want to capture for posterity the fact that you are cruising through some iOS video game. (Not during work or school hours, of course!)
