A LOOK INTO OUR COMMUNITIES

First Plane (Ages 0-6)
Our Primary students have been spending lots of time outside this spring taking care of their gardens. Gardening allows students to learn responsibility as they care for nature. It's also great for physical activity. Not only are children building confidence as they see a plant grow before their eyes, they are also learning to work together. The children always love taking home items from the garden.
Second Plane (Ages 6-12)
The Lower Elementary classes recently took separate trips to Forest Glen in March where they were able to explore and learn in an outdoor setting. Activities included archery, canoeing, outdoor classes about habitats and animals, and even a campfire with s'mores. A great time was had by all.
Third Plane (Ages 12-18)
The High School just finished our study of the Middle Ages, and we are moving on to the Renaissance! To kickstart this unit, we visited the Printing Museum. The printing press, invented in the 15th century by Johannes Gutenberg, was one of the most influential innovations of the time period. We learned about the evolution of printing, viewed early printed works, and we even got to practice printing on a model of the original Gutenberg printing press! (Click photo to read more)
ADVANCING THE MISSION
Thank you again to everyone who has made plans to attend Party on the Patio this weekend and given so generously in support of the event and St. Catherine’s families!

If you have not yet taken the opportunity to participate, there is still time to purchase your tickets and donate.
We look forward to partying with guests this Saturday and sharing photos and details from the evening in the coming week.
REMEMBERING OUR FOUNDRESS
