This Season of Advent
Advent is the time in the liturgical calendar to prepare. We prepare for the coming of Jesus – to commemorate his birth and prepare for his second coming. At St. Catherine’s Montessori students prepare in a variety of ways for this special time of year. Primary students are learning about Advent in the Atrium. The Lower Elementary students are building a crib for the manger and also practicing for their class Christmas plays. Upper Elementary 6th year students continue their volunteering at St. Dominic’s. The Ensemble will perform Christmas music and carols for the residents of St. Dominic’s later this month. The Adolescent Community will attend a spiritual retreat at Camp Kappe and the High School has been doing acts of service by volunteering at Casa de Esperanza and The Beacon. As a community, today we celebrated Mass and continue our annual tradition of sponsoring the children of Casa de Esperanza with our pajamas, socks, underwear and basic needs drive.

ADVANCING THE MISSION
#GivingTuesday Gratitude
Yesterday was national #GivingTuesday, the global day of giving that is celebrated every year on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. We sincerely thank the many families who took the time to participate. With your help we more than exceeded our $200 gift match challenge and set a St. Catherine's #GivingTuesday record.

Together our community raised $4,420 in support of the SCM Fund and increased parent participation from 62% to 72%!

Check out your classroom’s progress below, and  click here  to make your gift today. To pledge a specific amount today and give later, please contact Lyndsey Ray at  [email protected] .
Thank you to our  donors   who continue to lead the way in this year’s SCM Fund! We are so grateful for your heartfelt dedication to the Fund’s motto, Every Family for Every Child .
