Steps 4 Students is Under Way!
These last two days of Steps at SCM have been a great time. Elementary and Adolescent Community students, guides, and assistants traversed the campus race course yesterday and today, and the High School will race, run, and walk tomorrow. A big thank you to Coach Sam for designing the course and keeping time for our serious racers, and to those who staffed the course, cheered on participants, and captured the moments. Click here to visit our photo album.
Classroom races will wrap up this week, but that doesn’t mean the fun is over. Families can race, run, and walk in their own neighborhoods and towns through March 6. We encourage you to grab your spirit wear and lace up your sneakers to show your support of St. Catherine’s and your commitment to providing tuition aid for our families!
Participating at home? Send your Steps 4 Students photos to jochoa@stcathmont.org so we can share them with our community.

Human Connection
A Message from Sandra Espinosa, Counselor and Healthcare Coordinator
Dear St. Catherine’s Community,

What a whirlwind of a week it has been. I hope by the time you read this that all of you are waking up in warm homes, with an abundance of clean, running water and home repairs behind you (or at least scheduled!) I know many of us, especially our children, were eagerly anticipating the promise of that 1 rare snow day in Houston. Even better if school got canceled for a day! Surely few of us imagined we were just starting what a dear friend of mine described as “the camping trip from H***, with some silver linings.”

As we come back together, I foresee our children readily sharing their stories with each other and in doing so feeling the warmth, comfort and understanding from listening ears and hearts.

Virtual Spring PSO Meeting
PSO Book Club Meets Virtually Tomorrow, February 25 at 7:00 PM
The SCM Book Club is pleased to announce our next book selection. We will be discussing the book “Biased: Uncovering the Hidden Prejudice That Shapes What We See, Think, and Do” by Jennifer L. Eberhardt, Ph.D. on Thursday February 27th at 7:00pm via Zoom.

The discussion guide we will be using can be found here. While we can’t be together in person, we can still share a drink together. Here is a recipe for a fun spring cocktail you can make before settling into this conversation.

The High School Begins Filming Clue!
Yesterday, the High School officially began filming CLUE! While The Grand Manor Mansion in Galveston usually operates solely as an Airbnb, the owner, Brian, graciously allowed us to use it as a shooting location. We were joined by our very own Mr. Bruce Moses who controlled audio, and Mr. Pin Win, our wonderful videographer! Take a look here at some behind-the-scenes photos from our first day of filming!
If you would like to submit something for the Globe, please send it for approval to globe@stcathmont.org by Monday at noon.
