Individual Picture Days will be held the first week of February. In keeping with our health and safety procedures, photos will be taken outdoors and all participants will maintain classroom cohort and social distancing protocols. Our photographer, Ms. Jocelyn, will wear a face covering; students will follow established face covering rules until it is time to remove coverings for their individual photos.

St. Catherine’s will email parents a digital file of their student's photo. We will not take group photos this year.

Remote learners have the option of coming to campus during an assigned day and time to have their photo taken outdoors in front of the school, or submitting a photograph for inclusion in the yearbook. We will email all remote families later this week with more details, to determine which option you prefer, and select timeslots for in-person photos.

Photo Schedule (all photos taken between 9:00 and 11:00 AM):

Monday, February 1: Infant Community and Primary

Tuesday, February 2: Elementary

Wednesday, February 3: Adolescent Community, High School, Remote learners
(Wednesday is also the makeup day for any IC-EL students who missed their assigned day

High School Corner
Welcome back to the High School Corner!

This week we would like to introduce you to the exciting new project the High School has begun. The project draws upon our knowledge from both Writer’s Workshop and Humanities with the goal of helping Ms. Lewis review the biographies in the school library! Every high school student has chosen a historical figure who lived in the time before Reconstruction. We will do in-depth research on our chosen historical figure and then assess how accurately the children’s biographies in the St. Catherine’s Library portray said historical figure. Additionally, we will be working together as a class to identify underrepresented historical figures from this time period that we feel should be given greater prominence in the library. Check out which historical figures were chosen below!

Davy Crockett
Benjamin Franklin
Ulysses S. Grant
Thomas Jefferson
Lafayette
Abraham Lincoln
Pocahontas
George Washington

Thank you for reading!
