Steps 4 Students has Gone Virtual
This year the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston community cannot gather to race downtown, so area Catholic schools will run and walk on campus and in our own neighborhoods – in Houston and beyond! Between February 20 and March 6, 2021, Steps 4 Students participants will run or walk their own route and log their results online.

Now is the time to join Team SCM! Register by Sunday, January 31, 2021 before registration prices increase by $10.

HIGH SCHOOL CORNER
Food Drive for Casa de Esperanza
Welcome back to the High School Corner!

The High School has focused much of its community service efforts on Casa de Esperanza, a facility that houses children whose parents are unable to care for them. This year, due to the pandemic, we were unable to do in-person community service work at Casa de Esperanza. However, we will be hosting a canned food drive starting February 1 that will last for two weeks. This felt like an ideal way to help support the house parents and children during the pandemic as well as include the entire SCM community in our service. There will be labeled bins put out during carpool in order to allow families to drop off their donations. It is recommended that the students drop the food off in the bin either during arrival or dismissal so that parents are not having to get out of their cars. We hope that you will donate as many non-perishable food items as possible to this amazing cause!

Thank you for reading!
