ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

ELIGIBLE PROJECTS: Real Estate Projects starting from January 1, 2023, to present, must be completed at the time of application; located within East Baton Rouge Parish or surrounding parishes; Projects previously considered, but did not receive an award due to completion time or occupancy may reapply. Office Buildings must have 75% minimum occupancy.

CATEGORIES AND PROJECT TYPE: Awards are not based on category alone, but rather on merit. Some categories may have no winners and others may have multiple winners. Projects are generally described as one of the following: Subdivision; Multifamily (apartment, townhome, condo); Residence; Commercial (Retail, Office, Lodging & Industrial); Institutional (Education, Place of Worship, Civic); Rehabilitation (Commercial or Residential); Mixed Use Development; Landscape; Other.

AWARD SELECTION: The selection of award winning projects is very subjective, but generally speaking, award winning projects demonstrate one or more of the following attributes: A developer’s vision for filling a market niche or bringing a new and innovative product to market; has curb appeal that enhances an area; incorporates innovative design and/or construction techniques (technology, energy, environment); applies Smart Growth principles; has a positive economic impact to the community.
