" Coming together to know Christ and make him known"
Sunday, September 22 Sermon : "Obadiah: The Man on the Inside"
 1 Kings 18:1-16

Sunday, September 29
Sermon: "Elijah: The Man with a Plan" 1 Kings 18: 17-40
He Gave Us Stories.”
We see the stories of real people in 1 & 2 Kings. They happen to be all men, but their stories relate to all of us as they encapsulate huge themes we face as human beings. We are going to look together at their plans and decisions, their successes and failures; so that we can see God’s steadfast love and faithfulness percolating up through their stories. These stories that God gave us point to our own faults and our own longings. But most importantly, they point to Jesus as the solution to our deepest need.

Rides for LeTourneau Students:
There is a need to find rides for a few college students without transportation who would like to attend our Sunday worship services. We are seeking drivers willing to commit to drive students to and from the LeTourneau Campus (2100 S Mobberly Ave). If you are only available on one end of service, don’t let that stop you! Consider tag-teaming with another person or family for pick-ups and drop-offs. There is a sign up sheet in the foyer. Please contact the church if you have questions.

Longview Community Ministries Touch a Truck Feed a Family
Saturday, October 5th, 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM at Longview Mall main entrance: This unique community wide event is held on the first Saturday in October. It’s designed for children and adults to see, touch, learn and interact with dozens of fascinating vehicles. It will be an amazing day for families and children of all ages!
Because of sponsorships, admission to the event is free, though we request a jar of peanut butter for LCM's food pantry, or a monetary donation of choice if feasible. All proceeds benefit the many services provided by LCM. Last year we welcomed over 1,600 through the gates and we expect an even larger crowd this year at the mall !
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Robin Fruia, Executive Director, (903) 753-3561, extension 202 or by email at lcmexdirector@cablelynx.com .
