Thank You

I want to say a heart felt thank you to Jason Hubbard for his help and support in allowing me to join the youth missions group to Guatemala. It was a tremendous blessing to work in missions and getting to know the youth in ways other than seeing them only in church worship and fellowship settings. They really did a tremendous amount of physical labor, and brought the spirit of the Lord with them where ever they traveled. I was on the VBS and training center construction crew. The work left us all exhausted at the end of the day, but we were ready to go out with renewed energy the next day. Worship was meaningful and made a powerful impact on me. Thank you, Doug and church staff as well for allowing me the support and time to go help. I hope to be able to go again.

Jr High Mission Trip to Lake Jackson, TX
July 18 - 21

Our goal for our youth and leaders is that their lives will be transformed as they begin to see their stories as part of God's big, ongoing story...something so much bigger that they ever imagined. Through meaningful service activities, group exercises, prayer and intentional times for reflection, our mission trip hopes to make a difference in the lives of those with whom we interact - the people of the Lake Jackson area and serving the disenfranchised of Lake Jackson. They will be building wheel-chair ramps, painting homes, cleaning homes, replacing handrails, etc. In the midst of their work, they will seek to build a relationship with their clients in hopes of being able to take time to pray with and/or witness to their client. The hope is that the client will see the love of Christ within the servants of Christ.

Faith in Action of Brazosport is an ecumenical organization in the Brazosport area designed to help meet the needs of the elderly, disabled, and chronically ill by providing volunteer labor and materials for home repair and maintenance.
