ministries in Tucson and beyond

Jesus' prayer for unity is like spotting a lighthouse in the midst of a fierce storm. The more divided the world gets, the better news Jesus brings. How awesome that the very quality He prayed for is the exact thing we need the most, especially as our country lurches toward yet another presidential campaign.

I am incredibly excited to work on some new material that the Lord has been feeding me for awhile. The end product will likely be a book under the title, "The Good News of Jesus in a Donkey Elephant War." But you're part of the process, not just invited to check out the finished product. How can you help? Let me count the ways!
  1. Pray! Satan's strategy has always been to divide and conquer. "Protect us from the enemy" is right in the middle of John 17, twice.
  2. Please check out Collaboration Corner, and set aside 20 minutes as soon as you can to take the survey developed by a UA grad student. Your time will aid his Ph.D. research, as well as help with some of the research I'm doing for this project.
  3. Glance over the volunteer positions in the "What's the Buzz about J17M" column. I'm particularly excited to launch a blog ASAP and begin sharing and market-testing some of the new material as it's developed.

Watch, starting next week, for a new Donkey Elephant column where we'll share updates as well as some of the new content.

The good news of Jesus has never looked better!

Volunteers Needed!
The following positions are specifically in partnership with Dave Drum and his writing of a new book called, The Good News of Jesus in a Donkey Elephant War.

  • Blog editor - As Dave works on the manuscript for his new book, we’d like to begin getting the word out immediately, a) because it’s timely right now, b) to test market and gauge reaction to the material, and c) to build momentum for a publication hopefully around 1/1/2020.
  • Research assistant - There are several parts of this new book that will require research both for content and for proper attribution of quotes. Dave will point this volunteer in the right direction with specific goals in mind.
  • Crowdfunding director - Funds will be needed for both the development of the book as well as its marketing. Dave will provide budget goals for both.

If you or someone you know is interested in volunteering in any of these capacities, please complete THIS FORM or contact Karen ( karen@j17ministries.org).

How Do Evangelicals Think About Politics?
Joshua Ridenour
"I am interested in how Evangelicals think about politics, and am carrying out a survey intended to help me better understand how Evangelicals draw connections between religious beliefs and political attitudes."

Note from Dave Drum: I've had the privilege of meeting Joshua, and we're excited to collaborate and help one another. I've reviewed the survey and encourage you to invest 20 minutes in this critically timely topic. Thanks!
