Fourth Sunday of Easter
May 8, 2022

This weekend, we remember and celebrate our mothers. They are the epitome of the Good Shepherd. As they nurture, herd, support, care, and love us, we experience in a real way the very presence of God... This Good Shepherd Sunday is also a day to pray for all our priests – active, retired and those who are now with the Lord. We pray for those who have served our parish community, our diocese, and those who have been instrumental in our lives. Read More...

God Bless,
Fr. Ritche

Diocesan Priest Retirement Appeal
May 1st Second Collection

Throughout the Diocese of San José, priests serve as good shepherds to their flocks (the faithful of Santa Clara County). While some priests “retire” when they retire, others continue to perform some level of ministry throughout our Diocese.

Our retired priests rely on their Social Security and the Priest Retirement Plan payments for their living expenses and end-of-life needs. In recent years, the number of retired priests has grown significantly, challenging the diocesan retirement resources. COVID-19 has only increased the challenge to provide adequate care.

Your gift to the Diocesan Priests Retirement Appeal this weekend provides vital funding for medications, nursing care, and more to these priests who have been good shepherds and have kept their promises to the faithful of the Diocese. Thank you in advance for your generous support.

You can give online here. Please select "Second Collection" and look for this specific appeal in the subcategory.
World Day of Prayer for Vocations

On May 8th, the Church concentrates its attention to pray for vocations to the ordained ministries (priesthood and diaconate), consecrated life in all its forms (male and female religious life, societies of apostolic life, consecrated virginity), secular institutes in their diversity of services and membership, and to the missionary life. Read more...
Happy Mother's Day

Lord, We ask You to bless them with your own special love, today and always.

We lift up all mothers and motherly figures today and thank them for their guidance and love. Amen.
First Eucharist

Please join us to congratulate these children who will receive their First Eucharist! Special thanks to all who have helped these children prepare for this special moment.
Last Sunday, 58 people received the fullness of the Holy Spirit through the Sacrament of Confirmation. It was an amazing celebration. Thank you to all who were involved and to Bishop Cantú for his presence.
Congratulations, ILM Graduates!

On Wednesday, May 4th, our Diocese celebrated ministers who completed their ILM courses. One of the many is our very own parishioner, Ron Hallagan. The program is a three-year course of studies which provides a foundation in Catholic theology, spirituality, education and training in leadership. Thank you and congratulations, Ron!

Join us on Zoom for 45-60 minutes as we make space for prayer and reflection in community with one another. Attend one session or all the sessions: Tuesday evenings @ 7-8 PM on May 10, 17, 24, 31, and June 7. Please RSVP here.
