Dear Goshen families,
It’s hard to believe, but we are nearly seven weeks into the school year and what a great year it has been so far! What’s harder to believe is that we have been able to learn and play outside exclusively since August 24.
Being out in nature is so good for our children. Studies have shown that time in nature is an antidote for stress. Being outside lowers blood pressure and stress hormones and boosts immune system function and self-esteem. It lifts our moods and promotes calm. It has even been shown to improve a child’s attention. The health benefits of all that fresh air, Vitamin D and exercise are great for our growing bodies. And it promotes good sleep – something I’m sure our young families appreciate!
So we will be outside as much as we can, whenever we can! Stay tuned to see how we adapt as the weather begins to turn!

A very big Thank You to Bears mom and GPC Co-Clerk Andi Zampelli for the beautiful face masks she made and donated to all of our students! Andi is a very talented tie-dye artist as evidenced by the cool colors and awesome designs! And to top it all off, Andi's mother-in-law, Susan Lipinski, sewed every mask by hand. Thanks, Andi and Susan! You are true artistes!

And another Thank You to the GPC for providing lunches for the staff during our most recent faculty meeting this week. We enjoyed delicious boxed lunches from Dixie Picnic. We were so satiated, it's amazing that we got any work done!
Have a great week, everyone!
In Friendship,
Tr. Mimi
