Message from the Head of School

Dear Goshen families,

Thanks to all who attended the Book Fair Community Event Night last week. It was hard to turn a corner or walk down an aisle without seeing Goshen families there! And if you couldn't make the event, but you shopped over the weekend, or plan to shop this week ... thank you for your support. The school gets a percentage of the proceeds from overall sales, which means we get to expand our library. For that, we are so grateful to everyone!

Thank you, GPC parents Marne Repetto, Lily Escalona, and Jeanne Czubaroff for your enthusiasm, organization, and all-around cheerleading skills for making the fair happen. I say it often, and I always mean it ... What would we do without our wonderful parents?

Families can still purchase Book Fair items for the teachers at Barnes & Noble right up until the fair ends April 7. The teachers' wish boxes are located in the reading nook of the children's section on the 2nd floor of the store (see the photo below for reference). Just grab an item from the box, take it to the register, tell the cashier which teacher it's for, and that you're shopping for Goshen Friends School! The teachers thank you!

We are having our last All-School Gathering of the year this week on Thursday, April 4 at 10:30 a.m. in the Meetinghouse. We will celebrate spring, and our littlest friends (Froggies and Ladybugs) will perform the perfect song for these April days! We hope you will join us!

Have a great week!

Goshen Parent Community

Thanks to everyone who supported the Book Fair Community Night. Thanks also to Lily Escalona for organizing the teachers' wish list, and a big thank you to Marne Repetto for her hard work coordinating the entire evening. A special thanks to all the teachers who gave up their evening to read special stories.

The Book Fair continues in-store through April 7 and online through April 12. Teachers' wishlist items can still be purchased at the Exton Barnes & Noble (see Mimi's  Message above for info on where to find these items).

The next GPC meeting will be held this Friday at 9 a.m. in the Grange. Complimentary Extended Care will be provided; contact Extended Care via email or phone (610-696-8937) to save your child's space.
