Message from the Head of School

Dear families,

I popped into the Grange during a rehearsal this morning and got a sneak peak of the holiday concert. The children have been working so hard, learning the songs in preparation for the big day. They are adorable!

Sometimes parents ask what they can do to help their children get ready. The best thing you can do is to tell your children to relax and enjoy themselves! Remind them that it's OK if they forget the words or drop their bells or shaker eggs. Just have fun! It's a joyous occasion and we want it to be one they will remember fondly.

A few quick details on the concerts, which will begin promptly at 11 a.m. both days in the Grange:

  • Owls, Bears, and Butterflies perform Wednesday, December 12.
  • Froggies, Ladybugs, and Bumblebees perform Thursday, December 13.
  • Staff will be on hand to assist with parking, which will be limited to the lower end of campus.
  • When the children finish performing, they will go back to their classrooms. Families will then be invited to go over to the Preschool building to enjoy refreshments. Parents can then take their children home from the classroom, or take them to Extended Care if they're registered for the Holiday Craft activities.
Speaking of Holiday Craft Week: just a quick clarification that the time for this popular event in Extended Care is 12 noon to 3 p.m. See more information in the Extended Care section below.

Finally, we hope to see you at our holiday ornament decorating party coming up at 12 noon on Friday. Each participant will make an ornament to donate to Devereux and another ornament to take home. We'll serve pizza and other snacks, too! We hope to see you there! Download the RSVP form below.

Have a great week!
