Barnes & Noble Book Fair... Happening Now!
|
What a wonderful time we had last night at Barnes & Noble, kicking off our book fair with the Goshen Friends Community Night! It felt so good to spend time together in-person again as a school community. Thank you to all the families who attended, to the teachers for reading stories, and a special thank you to GPC moms Marne Repetto and Alex Sciocchetti for organizing this super fun event to benefit our school! For those of you who weren't able to attend, there is still plenty of time to participate, both in-store and online!
In-store shopping will continue thru Tuesday, April 12 (just mention you're shopping for Goshen Friends School). Would you like to support your child's classroom? While shopping in-store, look for your teacher's box on the wishlist table (located in the back corner of the 2nd floor children's area), select an item, and upon checkout, tell the bookseller it's a wish list item. They will take care of the rest and get it to your teacher!
Online shopping continues through April 17! Remember to use our school ID number 12625596 for online purchases, or for in-store purchases at other locations. You can shop anywhere in the US and the school gets credit! Tell your friends and family they can support our book fair no matter where they live!

Book tracker sheets, sponsor sheets, and cash / check donations are now due. If you haven't yet returned those to school, please due so this week if possible, or the Monday or Tuesday after Spring Break (April 18/19).
We can't wait to see how many total books were read! Proceeds will benefit our school and the Charles A. Melton Arts and Education Center right here in West Chester.

Dear Families,
Just a quick note from me to wish you all a very happy and relaxing spring break! Hopefully we will be able to shed these winter duds for good!
I took this picture a couple of weeks ago when the Bears class was planting tiny seeds in soil-filled cups. I hear they are already sprouting at home!
By the time we return April 19, I'm sure there will be lots of new things sprouting and growing all over campus! It will be nice to share the beauty of this special place with all of you at our many upcoming events - the spring fair, the spring concerts and the art show!
Looking forward to seeing you all very soon. Happy Spring!
In Friendship,
Mimi

From the GPC
Hello Goshen Parents!
Wow, what an amazing turnout for last night's community night at Barnes & Noble! A big THANK YOU to all of the families who attended, and to our lovely teachers who so graciously volunteered to be readers! We appreciate you!
Our book fair will continue at the Exton location until April 12th, so if you get a chance this weekend, pop on over and grab something for yourself or your child, or maybe a wish list item for your teacher! I hope you all have a fabulous spring break and enjoy some time with your families!
Looking ahead, after Spring Break we have the Spring Fair coming up on April 23rd! After 2 years of everything being virtual, I am so excited for this in-person, on campus event! We have all kinds of fun in store for you, including pony rides and a bounce house! This is one event you will not want to miss!
And, back by popular demand (and just in time for Cinco de Mayo), it is once again TACO TIME! Be on the lookout for more information about taco kits from Taste of Puebla - one of our most popular fundraisers - coming up the first week of May!
Have a great Spring Break!
Lots of Love and Big Warm Hugs,
Marne Repetto

Will your child be attending extended care thru the end of the school year? Now is a great time to update your reservation to include April, May and June dates using the form below (June 1st will be the last day of extended care). We appreciate as much advance notice as possible!
Has you child tried Lunch Bunch yet? It's a great opportunity to socialize with children from other classes, enjoy pizza on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and make special crafts on Monday and Thursdays – all while you get a little extra time to yourself!
Thank you!

The Bumblebees celebrated 100 days of school this week with lots of exciting activities. They dressed up like 100-year-olds and searched for 100 toy ants around their classroom. They even hung up their canes to take part in an energizing workout - 10 sets of 10 repetitions of various exercises...for a total of 100 reps! Whew!
