| | Bottles of holy water from the river Jordan in Israel, where John the Baptist baptized Jesus, have been donated to Christ church to be added to the font for baptisms. The River Jordan is considered by many Christians as a holy place and pilgrims have been going there for centuries. When planning a baptism, if you would like some of this holy water added for the baptism, please let the church know. | | It is time to update our Parish Directory. This is an invaluable tool for any new person in our church community…. especially a new rector. Please keep your eyes peeled in the Sunday bulletin and Friday Grapevine for announcements regarding signing up to have your photo taken. | |
CHRIST THE KING CLOTHING CLOSET for the homeless. Needing clothing donations! If you have donations, please contact Father Pace at 615-268-1631 to make arrangements for clothing pickup.
| | | INTERESTED IN THE HISTORY OF THE EPISCOPAL CHURCH: My website Sisters in Faith (sisters-in-faith.org) commemorates forgotten Episcopal deaconesses, those who could not be ordained because they were women. After graduating from deaconess school, many became nurses, teachers, and church helpers in disadvantaged areas both abroad and in the United States. If you have questions or suggestions, please contact Deacon Patricia Marks (spmarks@bellsouth.net; 229-630-8644). | | WOMEN’S BOOK STUDY: Held on Thursday’s from 10:15a -11:15a. On August 21 the study will be starting a new book called Sacred Fire, A Vision for A Deeper Human and Christian Maturity by Fr. Ronald Rolheiser. Anyone interested in joining can purchase the book and come or call Tammy Borders for more information at 229-560-5889. | | | |

Livestreaming
The broadcast of the 10a worship service on October 12, 2025, will begin on the church's Facebook page and YouTube channel at approximately 9:50a. Recorded videos of past services are also available on both of those platforms.
Hearing Assistance
For those worshipping in-person, we have a hearing assistance feature available inside the church as part of our sound system. This feature uses your smartphone and your earbuds or hearing aids to bring the sound directly into your ears. A detailed information sheet is linked here, and printed copies are also available from the ushers or the Audio/Visual booth staff.
