The Great Debate: Making Sense of Digital Marketing Service Providers
Digital Rochester event offers unique perspective on digital marketing and advertising
Rochester, N.Y. Digital Rochester is hosting a panel discussion on Thursday, May 26 to help businesses determine the right digital marketing solution for their company or clients.
Agencies, small businesses, marketers, and digital media reps are encouraged to attend "The Great Debate: Making Sense of Digital Marketing Service Providers."
Every company needs a digital marketing strategy. As possibilities for promoting businesses using the internet continue to become more efficient and effective - and more complex - companies are starting to ask, "Should we outsource our digital marketing or manage it internally?" The Great Debate will tackle this question and more, as it helps businesses navigate through the numerous vendors who assert that they have the right solution. Attendees will have the opportunity to cast their vote for the debate winner.

This fast-paced and lively "debate style" discussion will address big issues including:
  • Inhouse vs. outsource
  • Managing multiple digital marketing partners
  • How tactics align with business objectives
  • Optimal client / agency / vendor relationships
  • If agencies are needed
  • Where social media fits in
  • Developing reports that include analytics that matter
  • Search engine marketing - who should take the lead?
  • Common pitfalls - why campaigns fail
Meg Hartman , Director, Web Experience & Social Media, Roberts Wesleyan College, Peter Platt, CEO, PSquared Digital, and Stephanie Schnonbrun, Account Executive, Viant Inc. (a Time Inc. Company) will bring their unique perspectives to this dynamic discussion. Representing the publisher side (seller), the agency side, and the marketer's (client) point-of-view, this well-balanced panel of speakers will provide attendees with a unique perspective on digital marketing and advertising, as well as ideas to act on immediately.

The event will begin at 7:30 a.m, at the Rochester Museum & Science Center, 657 East Ave, Rochester, NY 14607. It will open with networking and registration, followed by a "debate style" panel discussion and Q&A session.

The event is $20 for Digital Rochester individual and corporate members and $35 for non-members. Registration is available online at:
