 Hello, Friends!
Fall has officially arrived, and the new season finds us with fall migration in full swing. Warblers, orioles, and other migrants of all kinds are winging their way through our area, making it the perfect time to get outside with those binoculars and field guides. With so many interesting birds moving through the area, we have a new working motto for the next couple of weeks:

"Binoculars: Don't leave home without 'em!"

(Come and see us if you need a pair!)
Fall Migration Is On!

How lucky we are: our region is located along a migratory flyway, and this is the exciting time of year when LOTS of migrants fly through the area as they make their way to their wintering grounds. Be on the lookout for Orioles, Tanagers, Warblers, Vireos, and many other non-locals that may use your yard and trees as a "rest stop" during their long journeys.

If you're interested in current information on migration movement, check out Cornell Lab of Ornithology's BirdCast page. The maps forecast peak migration conditions and dates, allowing you to know when you should keep the binoculars and field guides handy!
Wild Bird and Garden has everything you need to make the most of this fascinating seasonal event. Stop in for the latest optics, field guides, and advice to help you locate, see, and identify these striking fall visitors!
