Dear Our Community Partners,


I am delighted to share the highlights of a fantastic event that took place earlier today, hosted by the Horizon Council at the beautiful Caloosa Sound Convention Center. It was a spectacular celebration of our thriving business community, where we had the privilege of recognizing and honoring the remarkable businesses that make our region so successful.


The event showcased six distinct award categories, each celebrating a unique facet of the outstanding contributions of our local businesses. These categories include Diversity in Business, Innovative Technology, Nonprofit Partnership, Manufacturer of the Year, Small Business of the Year, and Large Business of the Year.


We would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the finalists who were recognized for their exceptional efforts and dedication to the betterment of our community. Each of you plays a crucial role in shaping the dynamic business landscape of Lee County.

These awards are not just a recognition of their achievements but also a celebration of the collective spirit of our local business community. Our local business community is stronger and more vibrant because of each one of you, and we are excited to see what the future holds as we continue to grow and innovate together.

Purses For a Purpose: Women in Business

Join us Wednesday, November 1st from 4pm-6pm at Langford-Kinston Home for Purses For a Purpose presented by Women in Business. Place your bids on your favorite new or vintage purses at this Women in Business purse silent auction. All funds raised from this night will go towards the Women in Business Scholarship fund.


The event’s host sponsor is Uncommon Friends Foundation. Bubbly Bee will provide refreshments and Chicken Salad Chick will provide food. HeadPinz Entertainment Center is the Beverage sponsor of this event. 

There is no cost to attend. We kindly ask you pre-register to attend to help us with attendee counts for breakfast items.

Florida Weekly:

"Improvements and Repairs coming to Lee County Beaches and Parks"

Millions of dollars are on the way to improve Lee County’s beaches and waterfront parks.



The agreements for funding are between Lee County and the Barrier Island Parks Society, Captiva Erosion Prevention District, City of Cape Coral, City of Sanibel, Town of Fort Myers Beach and the “Ding” Darling Wildlife Society.
