The Bar | Wine Corner
The clubhouse crew has had a fun time working diligently in an effort to create a stellar portfolio of both table and fine wines for your enjoyment.

Having come to a healthy holding pattern with our red wine list, our primary focus is now on our white wine collection.

See the link below for a complete list of all our white wines, new and old alike, including the addition of several 375ml bottle offerings. Come check out our new arrivals!

We are also happy about the upcoming launch of an exclusive wine club, available only to members of Greater Houston Sports Club!

Wine club name and launch date to be determined. Stay tuned for details!

Now here's a fish story for you...

Believe it or not, member Marc K. caught his first fish (ever!) in our catch and release pond. Talk about beginner's luck!

Keep it up, Marc! The biggest fish in the pond are still waiting!

Our catch-and-release pond is stocked with bass and ready for you to spend some quality time out by the water reeling them in!

Come enjoy the pond with your kids, guests, or make it a solo outing!

Staff Spotlight | Nettie Giles
Hired as our accountant in 2009 by Hub Hawthorn, Nettie worked proudly as a stay at home mom until both daughters were in school, at which time she joined the Greater Houston family.

Nettie's role has evolved quite a bit over the years to much more than just our accountant. Wearing multiple hats, Nettie is our Membership Director, Finance Director, and yes, she is still the club's accountant.

Nettie is the first person new members work with when joining Greater Houston Sports Club. She schedules all New Member Orientations for incoming members and manages the coveted waiting list for Cart Barns and Gun Care Center lockers.

Originally from Kennewick Washington, Nettie married her husband Gene Giles in 1991, and together they own a residential / light commercial architecture firm. Nettie and Gene lived in Portland Oregon for three years before moving to Houston in 2001 and have two daughters, Allison and Annie.

Nettie's oldest daughter is Allison, (20; far right) who attends Sam Houston State University as a Theatre Major and is an aspiring singer/actress/playwright/theatre technician.

Nettie's youngest daughter, Annie, (18; far left) attends Texas A&M as a Biomedical Science Major and plans on becoming a Pediatric Neurologist.

Nettie is a g raduate of Central Washington University and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
