2021 Greater Ladies Sporting League | June 10th-July 15th
Welcome to the 2021 Greater
Ladies Sporting League!

The purpose of the Greater Ladies Leagues is to inspire women to become involved in shooting sports as a lifelong pursuit with other like-minded women. This summer, league participants will develop their skills and get to know other Greater Ladies through 6 weeks of shooting Sporting Clays.

GHSC will host the Greater Ladies Sporting Clays League on Thursday evenings for six weeks starting on Thursday, June 10th running through Thursday, July 15th. The league will have a one time fee of $90. Ladies will be responsible for the payment of their 100 targets each week.
Greater Ladies Sporting Clays League check-in will begin between 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm in the Clubhouse bar. There, ladies will pair themselves into groups with whom they’d like to shoot with or can be squadded randomly. We will begin shooting at 4:30 pm. There will be absolutely no make-ups.

The GHSC Bar will be open along with steak night shenanigans for our ladies who wish to stay after the conclusion of the shooting.

Ladies will shoot 100 Sporting Clays targets each week encompassing a total of 600 targets over the six weeks of League. Scores for each week will be tallied and posted on our website after each week.
Miraval 6 Liter Giveaway!

Each week you shoot the league enters you into a raffle for a 6 Liter bottle of Miraval Rose! Each shooter is eligible for up to six entries total. The more you shoot, the more chances to win! The raffle will be held on the last night of league shooting with the 6 Liter awarded on-site!

Greater Houston Sports Club is hosting a wine tasting from 6:oo pm - 8:00 pm each Thursday evening Steak Night in August.

Pick a night or attend all four as we sample new additions and old favorites!

RSVP is not required for the wine tasting but is cordially requested for Steak Night.
 July 30-31st!

Barbers Hill 4-H Shooting Team and Cole Fine Guns and Gunsmithing would like to invite you to come out and support one of the BIGGEST scholarship shoots in the State. Shoot as an individual, a 4 man team, or a 4 ladies team together. Over 40 Custom Belt Buckles will be up for grabs! Men and Ladies awards for both individuals and teams. Placings will be HOA, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd for individuals and teams.

Collegiate Division as well.

Retriever Training at Greater Houston Sports Club
This year you might have heard the words “back!” and “over!” echoing in the early morning hours instead of the more familiar “pull!” It’s our club members who utilize the club grounds during non-core hours for dog training, and it’s become one of the club’s more popular outdoor activities. It is getting harder and harder to find a property close to Houston to train and work sporting and hunting dogs, and the club’s ponds and fields provide a great alternative!

Always with an eye on safety, the dog trainers have been out in the hours before we open the club to shooters, both during the week and on weekends. If you’d like to take advantage of the opportunity, please contact Kevin by clicking here. — R.K. Sawyer

Steak Night is in full swing every week on Wednesday and Thursday evenings!

Bring a steak, and we'll do the rest!

The grill is lit at 6:15 pm, and sides are served at 7:00 pm.
