Diamond Classic & South Central Regional September 29th - October 3rd, 2021

A message from Kevin: As most of you know, the South Central Regional was scheduled this month at the beautiful Covey Rise Lodge in Louisiana.  Unfortunately, after Hurricane Ida, that is no longer possible. The NSCA asked Greater Houston to include the South Central Regional with the Diamond Classic, and we are happy to come on board. It is short notice, but we are committed to doing the absolute best job we can do to provide the top-level experience that the Covey Rise Lodge had in store. All South-Central Regional events will run concurrently with the 2021 Diamond Classic. If you are already signed up for the Diamond Classic, you are ready to go.  If you were signed up for the South Central Regional and not the Diamond Classic, you will need to register for the Diamond Classic/South Central Regional. Deposits paid to Covey Rise will NOT transfer over to the Diamond Classic/SC Regional. You will need to pay new deposits.  Covey Rise will begin returning deposits once power and communications are restored. Covey Rise Fundraiser Beretta has stepped up and offered a raffle ticket into a drawing for a new Beretta shotgun for anyone that donates to Covey Rise Lodge Hurricane relief. Drawing for the Beretta will be Sunday at the conclusion of all events. To donate please visit the registration page. Retriever Training at Greater Houston Sports Club

This year you might have heard the words “back!” and “over!” echoing in the early morning hours instead of the more familiar “pull!” It’s our club members who utilize the club grounds during non-core hours for dog training, and it’s become one of the club’s more popular outdoor activities. It is getting harder and harder to find a property close to Houston to train and work sporting and hunting dogs, and the club’s ponds and fields provide a great alternative! Always with an eye on safety, the dog trainers have been out in the hours before we open the club to shooters, both during the week and on weekends.
