WELCOME TO THE TEAM

Welcome to the newest member of HFHT’s Green Team, Elizaveta Zvereva! Liza (Lee-za) has an interdisciplinary background in Arts and Science (McMaster University) and Environmental Toxicology (University of Toronto). She is passionate about translating scientific knowledge to people with different backgrounds and is excited for her role as the Project Manager at Green Team. Dr. Myles Sergeant, HFHT’s Green Initiative Lead, and Liza are excited to get to know everyone involved with the Green Initiative and continue to build on the groundbreaking and foundational work done by Dr. Meghan Davis and Tia Gayowsky.

One of the global calls to action to support women worldwide is shifting to a green economy and care society: The current economic system exacerbates poverty, inequality, and environmental degradation, disproportionately affecting women and marginalized groups. Advocates propose a shift towards a green economy and care society that amplifies women’s voices.
