Leadership Feature: Ari Campbell

Welcome to our new series, where each newsletter will feature a key member of our leadership team! For this feature, meet Ari Campbell.

Ari joined the Coalition team in Fall 2024 as Program Manager of the Healthy Capital: Sustainable Investment for Hospital Foundations project.

Ari brings over 10 years of combined experience in advocacy, research, external relations, and campaigning. With a background in sustainable community development, literature, and psychology from Simon Fraser and McGill, Ari is committed to empowering others to drive change in ways that work best for them.

"When I recently joined the Coalition, I was struck by its ability to unite people and organisations around shared visions for health and sustainability. I was drawn to how the Coalition makes systemic change accessible and immediately actionable, connecting the dots between complex challenges and the people, tools, and resources needed to address them.

The Coalition brings together decades, even centuries, of collective expertise and experiences, to transform individual knowledge into shared wisdom. By involving people across generations, disciplines, and geographies, it fosters a systems-oriented approach that integrates sustainability principles to reduce environmental impact and improve health outcomes.

Health is foundational, and the ripple effects of this work are so precious. I often think of a brighter, safer future for my growing family and friends, and our sacred lands and waters. This is my “why” and the “why” so many others have found their home at the Coalition. I’m excited to nurture the seeds planted by the Coalition over the past 25 years." - Ari

Keep an eye out for our next feature!

The CARE-AI study: Creating accountable and responsive ethics for Artificial Intelligence for health care

You are invited to participate in the consensus-building process focused on validating digital professionalism and AI usage guidelines for health care providers.

Researchers have chosen a two-phased, modified Delphi approach with focus groups and rounds of surveys completed by experts, which will help in defining a set of principles and guidelines that will create a framework for professionalism standards in artificial intelligence use in health care. They are in the fourth phase of this project. Phase four consists of modified Delphi rounds, a structured process for reaching expert consensus through iterative surveys, for further refinement to ensure this framework will guide health care professionals in applying AI in ways that prioritize fairness, equity, and person-centered care.
