Registration Information for Greenwich Public Schools
Due to the increase in home rental and purchasing activity in Greenwich, the team at Greenwich Public Schools has created a Public School Listings and Registration resource for Realtors to share with families who may be considering registering their children for Greenwich Public Schools. Once families are registered they are added to the GPS email list and will receive updates directly from the District, including planning information on school reopening during COVID-19. 

Temporary Housing Assistance Initiatives
The CT Department of Housing's Tenant Rental Housing Assistance Program ("TRHAP") is now accepting applications for rental payment assistance of up to $1,000 per month, for a maximum cumulative total of $4,000 of assistance. The payments are made directly to the applicant's Landlord. Eligibility and other requirements may apply. For more information, please visit the Department of Housing's website. Tenants can also call DOH at 860-785-3111 to determine eligibility for the program.

T-MAP Loans, the Temporary Mortgage Assistance Program Loans through the Connecticut Housing Finance Authority (CHFA), is now accepting applications for mortgage assistance of a loan up to $25,000 per household for mortgage payments that were due to lenders beginning with the March 1, 2020 mortgage payment, which may include principal, interest, taxes and insurance. Please visit CHFA's website for more information about this loan program. At that page there is also a link you can click to determine your eligibility.

NAR Launches Fair Housing Ads
NAR has launched a national ad campaign to reaffirm its commitment to Fair Housing. The ad highlights NAR's strict Code of Ethics and how it goes beyond Federal anti-discrimination laws. It's an extension of the "That's Who We R" campaign. REALTORS® can access the ads to use in print or online. You can also create personalized versions using the Photofy app, which is available for free as a member benefit.

Face Masks/Coverings Required During Showings and Open Houses
CTR has confirmed with the state that there are no changes to the requirements for wearing a face mask or cloth face covering when entering a property for a business purpose such as a real estate showing or an open house. It remains required along with observing distancing standards when you are inside the property. However, it also remains applicable that if an individual has a medical condition where his/her/their health or safety is threatened by a face covering, if under the age of 2 or if it's an older child where there is not an ability to safely secure a mask, there is an exemption to the rule. You may not require medical documentation verifying the medical condition.
CTR has created posters for agents or home owners to use reminding all licensees and clients of Connecticut's face mask and cloth face covering requirement. Connecticut's rules are to protect us all from the further spread of the virus.

Guidance for Conducting In-Person Showings, Tours, and Open Houses
The GAR/GMLS Board of Directors urges members to adhere to ALL safety recommendations, guidance, and policies from your Broker/Head of Office, the CDC, State of CT, Connecticut Association of REALTORS®, and National Association of REALTORS®. Specific guidance for protocol pre-, during, and post- in-person showings is available in The Point. Please note that food and drink should not be served during any in-person showing activity, including Broker Tours.
Upcoming Events
GMLS Subscription Renewals Due by August 15th
The GMLS Subscription and RETS renewal orders for June through December 2020 are available in your account online. Invoices have been emailed. Due to COVID 19, the payment deadline has been extended to August 15th.
