Prairie Soccer League Finals

The 2025 Prairie Soccer League Wrapped up on July 26th at Griffiths Stadium in Saskatoon with four hard fought finals in the U15 Girls, U15 Boys, U17 Girls and U17 Boys Divisions.

The U15 Girls Final saw FC Regina take on Saskatoon Alliance Blue in a tightly contested contest that concluded in penalty kicks. FC Regina took the early lead when Braelyn Ramsbottom scored to give them the 1-0 lead. Kanis Manivong would then score for Alliance Blue to tie the game at one. Not long after Braelyn Ramsbottom notched her second of the game once again giving FCR the lead. Alliance Blue would tie the game just before the half on a free kick from just outside the box. The game would remain tied at 2 following regulation and extra time and headed to penalty kicks. Saskatoon Alliance Blue would go on to score on all five of their penalty kicks and defeat FCR 5-4 on penalty kicks to take the victory and secure their spot as the Saskatchewan representative for Nationals in Charlottetown, PEI.

The Golden Boot for the U15 Girls Division, awarded to the top goal scorer through regular season and playoffs, was shared by Kanis Manivong of Saskatoon Alliance Blue and Parker Sauer of FC Regina Bluestars with nine goals each.

The U15 Boys Final was an all Alliance matchup as Alliance Black took on Alliance Blue. Alliance Blue took the lead first as Wrigley Riggs scored on a free kick to give Alliance Blue the lead at the half. Alliance Black came out strong in the second half as Noah Neufeldt Scored on a penalty kick for Alliance Black to knot the game at one. Alliance black would strike again when Onyedika Onuora-Oguno Scored to give them a 2-1 lead. The game would remain 2-1 until the final whistle as Alliance Black was victorious claiming the U15 Boys PSL title and securing their spot at Nationals in Charlottetown, PEI.

The Golden Boot for the U15 Boys Division, awarded to the top goal scorer through regular season and playoffs, was awarded to Oudai Alhamami of QC United with a whopping 20 goals in 13 games.

The U17 Girls Final saw the FC Regina Bluestars take on Saskatoon Alliance. Saskatoon Alliance took the early lead on a goal from Calla Zimmer but FC Regina would battle back with goals from Brynn Birnie and Neko Michell to give FC Regina a 2-1 victory and secure their spot as the Saskatchewan representative for Nationals in Kamloops, BC.

The Golden Boot for the U17 Girls Division, awarded to the top goal scorer through regular season and playoffs, was awarded to Neko Michell of FC Regina with a whopping nine goals.

The U17 Boys Final saw the FC Regina Bluestars take on Saskatoon Alliance Black. FC Regina was first to hit the board with a goal from Yichen Geo. Saskatoon Alliance answered back with a goal of their own from OluwaMayowa (Max) Ojo. The game would remain tied for some time until Asad Mohammed contorted his body through the air to bicycle kick the ball past the keeper to give Alliance Black the lead. Alliance Black would hold on to the lead to secure the U17 Boys Championship and their place as the Saskatchewan representative at Nationals in Kamloops, BC.

The Golden Boot for the U17 Boys Division, awarded to the top goal scorer through regular season and playoffs, was shared by Giorgio Artunduaga of Saskatoon Alliance Black and Ronnie Gibson of Forge FC with nine goals each.

North American Indigenous Games Coaching Application

Team Saskatchewan is accepting applicants for Coaching Staff of the 2027 Team Saskatchewan that will represent Saskatchewan at the 2027 North American Indigenous Games in Calgary, Alberta from July 13-19, 2027.

Head coaches will be required to hold a minimum of a C-Diploma. If an applicant who does not possess a C-Diploma is selected as the head coach they will be required to join the upcoming cohort of the C-Diploma beginning September 2nd.

Applications are due by end of day on August 15th, 2025. Applications can be submitted here.

Soccer Day in Saskatchewan - Prince Albert

On July 19th, the City of Prince Albert proudly hosted Soccer Day in Saskatchewan, and what an incredible day it was! We extend our heartfelt thanks to the entire community for your warm hospitality, energy, and support. From volunteers to families, coaches and players your enthusiasm made the event a true celebration of soccer in our province.
