In August, GridWise Alliance CEO, Karen Wayland, penned an Op-Ed for CommonWealth Magazine emphasizing the importance of grid modernization and reminding Massachusetts policymakers of the need to "address, and invest in, both sides of this issue — innovation and infrastructure — if Massachusetts is to successfully transition to the clean energy future that its residents want and deserve."

United Power Signs Solar Power Purchase Agreement
|
|
|
GridWise Alliance member United Power has entered into a power purchase agreement with Seattle-based OneEnergy, a leading solar developer with projects across 19 states.
Under the agreement, United Power will receive all of the output of OneEnergy's planned Overland Solar project, which will produce 10 MW of noncarbon energy beginning in 2024.

GE Vernova Acquisition to Accelerate Energy Transition
|
|
|
GridWise Alliance member GE Vernova has acquired Greenbird Integration Technology AS, a data integration platform company focused on utilities, as part of the company's ongoing efforts to accelerate innovation within its Digital business' GridOS software portfolio.
GE hopes the acquisition will help utilities reduce the complexity of energy data integration and better enable them to move more quickly to meet electrification demand.
