Parents of students in grades 3 - 8,
April 24th - April 26th
, ALL 3-8 grade students will be taking the state required Scantron assessment in Math, Reading and Science. We will begin testing first thing each morning and will test until a majority of the students are finished each day.
Below are a few things you could help us with...
- Make sure your child gets a good nights sleep and has breakfast (we provide breakfast at school each day as well)
- BE ON TIME AND PRESENT each day your child is scheduled to test
- Drink plenty of water
- Please make sure your child has working headphones or ear buds on the days he/she tests
- NO electronic devices are allowed in the testing rooms. Cell phones or Apple watches will have to be their lockers or at home.
One of the good things about the Scantron assessment is that every student has an individualized growth goal for the reading an math test. We have shared these with the students last week, so ask them about it. We are not just looking for proficiency, but growth for every child.- PLEASE encourage your child to do their very best during the assessment
