Book Fair

It's almost BOOK FAIR time again! The lower campus book fair will be April 24-28 from 7:45-3:15 Monday - Thursday and until 11:00 on Friday.

The Book Fair will be OPEN before and after the PTA Meeting on Tuesday, April 25th. 
PTA Family Game and FREE Pizza Night 

Tuesday, April 25th 5:30-6:30pm

Please join us for games and FREE pizza (2 slices per person) in the cafeteria! We will also hold a brief meeting to vote on our PTA Board nominations.

RoboCubs and RoboGrizzlies Meetings

RoboCubs and RoboGrizzlies will resume the week of April 17th and continue until May 12th.

If your child is a RoboCub in 3rd grade, he/she will be meeting with the RoboGrizzlies on Thursdays from 4:00 until 6:00. Please let Mrs. Pang know if your child is not able to meet with the RoboGrizzlies at this time.

If your child will not be participating in any of these activities, please let Mrs. Pang know since we need this information for planning purposes.

More information will be sent about RoboCubs and RoboGrizzlies for the 2017-2018 school year.

Mountain Gap Fun Run Market

The Mountain Gap Middle School Choir Department will hold its second annual Mountain Gap Market during the Grizzly 5K and Fun Run on Saturday May 20, 2017 from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM.  
This event will be a fantastic opportunity for our school family and members of the community to shop and meet local business owners.  We will have crafters, creators, direct sellers, and local business owners of all kinds, as well as raffles and a bake sale.

2017 Summer Reading Program

Huntsville City Schools is very pleased to share information regarding Summer Reading 2017, a district-wide effort to encourage reading for enjoyment. Reading during the summer months is an important opportunity for students to stay engaged and develop a life-long commitment to reading and learning.

Huntsville Museum of Art Needs Volunteers

Are you looking for a fun and rewarding volunteer position? We have many exciting volunteer opportunities in our Museum!

The  Summer 2017 Youth Volunteer Program application process is now open. Students must be age 14 or older to participate in the program.  Application deadline is Friday, May 5.

Engineering a Better Place Event 

The Southeast Region Executive Board of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) would like to invite you and your child to our first annual Engineering a  Better Place event! We are fulfilling NSBE's mission: To increase the number of culturally responsible black engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally, and positively impact the community.

The goals of our event are to stimulate enthusiasm and encourage greater participation in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) in 3rd -12th grade students, foster interest in chartering new chapters in your area, and a march to increase morale in the community for higher education amongst black students. 

During this event your child will have the opportunity to participate in hands-on projects, informative workshops, and interact with college students. We will also be hosting a workshop for parents to learn more about engineering, NSBE, and how you can help to bring a NSBE Jr. chapter to your area. This event will be held at the University of Alabama Huntsville campus at the Shelby Science Center on Saturday, April 22, 2017 from 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM CST.This will be a free event for the child and parent(s) and lunch will be provided.

Grissom Sports Physicals

Upcoming 6-8th grade student athletes are invited to participate.

What to bring: Preparticipation physical form SIGNED by parent/guardian with history(front page) completed. These forms may be found at under the "forms" button.

Publix Partners

Please ask the cashier to scan your card every time you shop your local Publix. For every $37,500 spent cumulatively by our school's participants, Publix will award our PTA $250. You may check the board at customer service for our quarterly cumulative total.

If you do not have a Publix Partners card, stop by the Welcome Center to pick one up.
Box Tops for Education

You may start turning in  your  box tops!  Remember to put the student's name and homeroom teacher on the bag. You don't have to count, just label the bag. For more information about the Box Tops for Education program, click here
