PTA Reflections Awards 

The Huntsville City PTA Reflections Awards Ceremony was held on Tuesday, January 24th. Congratulations to the following students who placed at the city level! Those finishing in first or second place will move on to the state level competition.

This year's theme is "To Infinity and Beyond" and represents Mountain Gap P-8 students reaching beyond the stars! The book will be in full color, 104 pages and 8.5" x 11". There is also a new option this year: In addition to the hardcover book, you may also purchase the yearbook as an eBook!

ALL purchases this year will be made using our online sales site. When you go to the link, you will be given the option to purchase the yearbook alone for $35, the eBook alone for $25, or both the yearbook and the eBook for $45.

Books will be sold on a first-come-first-served basis, and a limited quantity has been ordered for purchase. When these are gone, they are gone! Please make your purchase soon to make sure your book is reserved. Books will be delivered to students during the last week of school in May.

Online sales will end January 31, 2017 or when all books have been sold.

HudsonAlpha After School Program

HudsonAlpha is re-launching our FREE after school program, Launching Aspiring Biotechnology Scientists! The goal of L.A.B.S. is to equip rising 9-11th grade students with the basic skills and knowledge that are essential to join the future STEM opportunities. Students selected to participate will meet and work in the educational labs at the HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology weekly after school.

2016-2017 NACCS Character Word Contest

The Second Annual North Alabama Community of Character Summit is hosted by the Character Foundation of North Alabama, a 501(c)(3) organization, sponsored by the Better Business Bureau of North Alabama.

Eligible to all students in K-12

Students may submit an essay or a creative art project that illustrates one of four character words- Courage, Fairness, Generosity, and Perseverance.

Publix Partners

Please ask the cashier to scan your card every time you shop your local Publix. For every $37,500 spent cumulatively by our school's participants, Publix will award our PTA $250. You may check the board at customer service for our quarterly cumulative total.

If you do not have a Publix Partners card, stop by the Welcome Center to pick one up.
Box Tops for Education

You may start turning in  your  box tops!  Remember to put the student's name and homeroom teacher on the bag. You don't have to count, just label the bag. For more information about the Box Tops for Education program, click here
