If yes, then consider joining Jag Guides and participating in Jaguar Days for prospective students, pep rallies, student panels, and more. Jag Guides also give our in-person and group tours for prospective students and their families. 
 
Being a Jag Guide will give you invaluable experience in presentation skills, opportunities to meet area leaders, and leadership participation in various other projects with the public.

Dell Technologies invites the University community to an exclusive Virtual Company Tour, Tuesday, March 8, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., to learn more about career and employment opportunities.  
 
The event, designed specifically for Texas A&M San Antonio, will include opportunities to connect with team members who will share their experiences transitioning from college to employment with the company.

Breakfast with Capt. Haley Carter

Women @ Work and the Women’s History Month Committee are honored to host Capt. Haley Carter as its keynote speaker at a breakfast on Tuesday, March 15 at 8:30 AM in the Ceremony Room.  

Attorney, decorated U.S. Marine veteran, former assistant coach of the Afghanistan women’s national football team, and lifelong girl scout, Capt. Carter will speak on how a “ragtag group helped evacuate the Afghanistan national women’s football team from the country.” As noted in her interview with CNN, the evacuation was “nothing short of a miracle.”  

Please register for the event if you plan to attend in-person. Seating is limited and attendees are encouraged to register early.

Phi Alpha Theta History Honors Society
Selects Eight Students for Induction in April 

Eight outstanding Texas A&M-San Antonio students will be recognized Friday, April 1 for academic achievement during an induction ceremony for the Phi Alpha Theta National History Honor Society. 
 
Nominated students must have a cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 3.0, and a cumulative GPA of 3.1 in history courses, with at least 12 history credit hours.  

This year's inductees include Kendall Batiste; Steven Joseph Corrales; Robert A. Dalton; Vincent Marchini; Joseph Charles Platt; Khalil Fyzee Wong; Rasul Katarina Tijerina; and Demi Renay Villarreal.  

Phi Alpha Theta was established in 1921 at the University of Arkansas; today, it has over 400,000 members with some 9,000 new members joining each year through 970 chapters nationwide.
Employee Survey Deadline Extended 
 
The deadline to complete the employee survey has been extended to March 14!  
  
A&M-San Antonio is working with the Institute for Organizational Excellence (IOE) at UT Austin to survey all faculty and staff. IOE works with state agencies and public universities in Texas to collect employee engagement data through the use of the Survey of Employee Engagement (SEE). Its research provides support and resources to our campus to help our leadership team better understand and improve our work environment.  
  
You received the SEE survey via email from the Institute for Organizational Excellence in February with a personal access code. To ensure your voice is heard in this process, please complete the survey, which will take about 15 minutes or less to complete. Responses are anonymous.

Festival de Cascarones

Join us for the annual Festival de Cascarones, the official finale to Fiesta San Antonio, on Sunday, April 10, 1 p.m. - 8 p.m., on the Texas A&M University-San Antonio campus! Free and open to the public, this event will feature live music, food, games, and fun for the whole family - all day long! There will be a Kids Zone for the young ones.The event is pet-friendly (dogs must be leashed).

The event will be headlined by Texas-based singer/songwriter Kevin Fowler. Further information on live performances, entertainment and activities will be announced at a later date. Save the date now to close out Fiesta San Antonio at A&M-San Antonio!
