Summer P.A.I.D.
Summer P.A.I.D. (Pay Assistance for Internship Discovery) is a program to support students who are interested in pursuing an experience in a field that typically does not offer pay or is underpaid. For summer 2022, students can be awarded amounts based on these needs, up to $20/hour. The priority deadline is Friday, May 27. Click here for application details. The Great Migration …
We Need Your Help!
Administrators, faculty, and staff, the website redesign project team is working with campus stakeholders to successfully migrate content on our present web pages to the new design. The project team is targeting a July 1, 2022 completion date for this migration work. The time is approaching quickly and to ensure a successful transition from the current design to our new site, the project team needs your help.
If you do not have someone from your area who is trained to use Cascade to update web pages, or if you would like to receive training, please talk to your manager about attending one of the Cascade Training Sessions offered by ITS. Cascade training is scheduled for the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of every month from 10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. and New Template Training sessions on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of every month from 10 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Visit the Cascade Help page to learn about Cascade Cloud, the CMS workflow process, and to access "How to" documents that walk you through the process of using the system. Texas A&M-SA Networking Event
Professor Cate Wengelnik, Department of Management and Marketing, and her students have created a networking and leadership meeting platform that allows for current and former TAMUSA students to engage, network, and transfer knowledge. Every semester Professor Wengelnik and her students come together to engage and create this amazing opportunity for our community. 2022-2027 Bond Program
Election day for the San Antonio 2022-2027 Bond Program is Saturday, May 7, 2022, 7 a.m.-7 p.m. University-area roadway improvements, including sidewalks, driveway approaches, drainage, and other improvements, is among the listings for potential elected funding. The project includes phased improvements to Perimeter Loop Road and a connector road to Mauermann Road, which will facilitate access to campus and the surrounding properties.

Dr. Gary Coulton, Associate Professor of Psychology, serves as the Faculty Ombudsperson at Texas A&M-San Antonio. The Faculty Ombudsperson is a designated neutral faculty member chosen by the Faculty Senate who works with faculty at A&M-SA to explore and assist them in determining options to help resolve conflicts, problematic issues or concerns related to their employment at A&M-SA and to bring systemic concerns to the attention of A&M-SA for resolution. Texas A&M University–San Antonio Professor Selected for Distinguished Award
On May 2, the Minnie Stevens Piper Foundation announced the selection of Texas A&M University-San Antonio Associate Professor of Biology and Biology Program Coordinator Dr. Megan Wise de Valdez as a Piper Professor of 2022. Dr. Wise de Valdez is one of 10 professors awarded the distinction in the State of Texas. Selections are based on nominations submitted by each college or university in Texas and 10 awards of $5,000 each are bestowed annually to outstanding professors for their exceptional teaching at the collegiate level. $100,000 in Grants from Frost Bank to Support A&M–SA Athletics
Frost Bank has directed two grants totaling $100,000 to support the Texas A&M-San Antonio (A&M-San Antonio) Foundation. The funds will go toward the “Building Champions” capital campaign to support a recreation center for A&M-San Antonio Athletics. Read more.

Kinesiology Graduate Students Place at Pathways Research Symposium
Mr. Joo Hyun Kim and Jesse Delacruz, Kinesiology graduate students, working under the supervision of Dr. Sukho Lee, professor, Department of Counseling, Health & Kinesiology, have completed several animal science projects, received 2nd place spots at Pathways Research Symposium 2022. Kim was recently accepted to the Ph.D. program at Texas A&M University, College Station. The presentation was sponsored by the Office of Research and Graduate Studies (Dr. Vijay Golla, Vice Provost for Research and Graduate Studies).
