Domestic Violence Awareness Month
During the month of October, local businesses, government agencies, and residents are encouraged to decorate in a purple motif to help bring awareness to violence directed towards intimate partners and family members.

Annual Lip Sync Battle and Costume Contest
- Oct. 29
- 2:30-4 p.m.
- Auditorium
Dress to impress and show off your best dance moves at the University's annual Lip Sync Battle and Costume Contest, which helps support the State Employee Charitable Campaign, a fundraiser for San Antonio nonprofits. Lip Sync winners will be chosen based on how much money is donated for their performance. A judging panel will determine the costume contest winners. Register for the lip sync battle here. Costume contest participants can sign up the day of the event.
