Growing up with a cognitive impairment, Meera Phillips applied for and was accepted into A&M-San Antonio’s Transition University for Career Advancement and Successful Adulthood program. Read more about her journey and the program's role in her success.

Academic Excellence

Honors Student Named to State Hospital Board

Jahatzy Ramos, a second-year Honors student and biology major, has been named a Junior Board Member with San Antonio State Hospital's Volunteer Services Council for the 2023-24 academic year. Providing in-patient psychiatric services in south San Antonio, the hospital is opening a state-of-the-art facility in January 2024. In her role as a Junior Board member, Jahatzy will develop her leadership skills and assist with fundraising projects.

It's Time For Socctober!

Donate $50 or more and receive a pair of "Jaguar Socks" and a personalized Thank You note signed by the team.

Socks are limited-edition. Only 50 pairs will be gifted this year! 

To adopt a player for the season, visit our website and make a donation in your chosen player's name. Everyone who makes a gift to a player will receive a personalized thank you note from that player.

The campaign runs until Oct. 31.

Alumni Awards Ceremony

The Alumni Awards Ceremony is an annual event that recognizes three alumni for their professional achievements, community service and University volunteerism.

The following alumni will be awarded at this year's event.

• Juanita Sepulveda '11, '15, '16 - Spirit of the Jaguar Award
• Clayton Jaskinia '20 - Recent Graduate Award

For the 2024-25 academic year, the Free Application for Federal Student Aid has new processes and timelines. The FAFSA is now scheduled to open in December. Please contact the Financial Aid Office at 210-784-1300, submit an inquiry  or visit Financial Aid for the latest information and updates.
