University Announces Joint AgriLife Venture

A&M-San Antonio and Texas A&M AgriLife Research have announced a new joint venture that aims to foster interdisciplinary partnerships, provide valuable learning opportunities for students and promote groundbreaking research initiatives in the fields of agriculture, natural resources and life sciences. The University's first appointee is Dr. Jose Rodolfo Valdez, who has accepted a joint associate professorship of biology between A&M-San Antonio and AgriLife Research. He is set to begin his research at AgriLife Uvalde in the summer of 2024. Read more.

President Ochoa Meets The Press

President Salvador Hector Ochoa held his first on-campus press conference to introduce himself to the media and share remarks on A&M-San Antonio's record fall enrollment of nearly 7,800 students and the launch of the new Jaguar Promise program.




Fulbright Grants Now Open for Jaguar Students


In partnership with more than 140 countries, the Fulbright U.S. Student Program provides students with the opportunity to work, live with and learn from people around the world.

2023 HACU ¡Adelante! Leadership Institute


Texas A&M-San Antonio is excited to sponsor five students to travel to Chicago, IL, for the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) 37th Annual Conference. At this three-day event, students will be able to meet their peers from around the world, interview for jobs and internships, learn about graduate schools and receive leadership coaching.


Deadline for Application: Sep. 8, 2023 by 12 p.m.

Conference Details:

     October 28-30, 2023

     Chicago, IL

     The scholarship will cover flight, meals and transportation.
