Jenna Mickle, '19 HS - FCS

Hometown: Newtown, PA

Family and Consumer Sciences is a passion of Jenna's and she is very excited to be a teacher after graduation. The FCS concentration encompasses many interesting subjects, including child development, family relations, consumer economics, fashion design, and interior design.

Jenna is also actively engaged in many different programs on campus, including Lazarus Rising, an RSO group where students go to homeless shelters, churches and libraries to help people write resumes, submit job applications and do interview prep. Jenna embodies the true spirit of a Human Services student through her academic dedication and her service in the community.

New Initiatives

Major in Human Relations Administration

HDFS is unveiling a new major in the fall of 2017, HR-Admin, designed to provide students with the skills necessary to facilitate critical workplace training and development, manage employee relationships, enhance staff motivation and navigate important legal aspects of workplace administration including diversity and inclusion.

New MA in Early Childhood Development & Programming

Child care professionals interested in developing and administering early childhood programs in the U.S. and abroad can now enroll in our 12-month Early Childhood MA program. Classes start in early July. Please contact Jason Hustedt, [email protected] for more information.
