March 2018

Dear HDFS Community,
As we move further into the 21st century, it is imperative that we prepare our undergraduate and graduate students to pursue new, innovative paths in order to address the most challenging social issues. One such path is through fostering social entrepreneurship. In partnership with the Horn Entrepreneurship Program, we are refocusing our program on the relationship between the private and public sectors. As part of this effort we have introduced a new colloquium series and are highlighting some of the social entrepreneurial programs we already have in place. HDFS is leading the way!
Sincerely,
Bahira Sherif Trask, professor and chair, HDFS department
