Letter from Todd
Greetings and happy holidays to all of our incredible employees, clients, business partners, and everyone else who enjoyed 2022 with us!
Each year I feel incredibly fortunate to share successes with each of you. Our company continues to grow our knowledge, experience, and expertise, while maintaining a safety-first culture and building quality projects.
This past year brought us many diverse and challenging projects. We built and rehabbed bridges, installed augercast piles, drove sheet piles, drilled micropiles, built secant walls, and utilized a number of other techniques. While many of these projects are notable in their own right, what makes them really impressive is the way our team approached and completed each job. The team work, attention to detail, and can-do attitude each of you exhibit on a daily basis is what makes Hardman Construction successful.
Thank you for choosing to work with us and sharing your life with us daily. Our work is not easy and it is an honor to work with each of you.
From the entire Hardman Construction family, we wish you the happiest holiday season!

FIVE YEAR ANNIVERSARY
Kevin Campbell, Foreman/Superintendent
|
Kevin Campbell started his career with Hardman Construction five years ago. During his time with the Company, he has learned a number of the construction techniques Hardman uses, which will no doubt help as he continues developing his role as a leader in the field. He is willing to take on new challenges and step in where needed. Kevin is thoughtful, hardworking, and kind. The entire Hardman team looks forward to working with Kevin for many years!

Andrew Lobbestael, Project Engineer
|
Andrew Lobbestael got his first taste of the geotechnical construction world with Hardman as a college intern. He spent two years as an intern before hiring on full-time as a Project Engineer. Andrew has grown into his role as a Project Engineer and has expanded this role even further into managing projects. He has also taken an active role in bidding work for the Company. Andrew has the ability to work and interact with different people seamlessly. He has an inquisitive mind and helps solves problems as they arise. It has been fun watching Andrew’s growth from an Intern to his current role and Hardman is excited to see the great things he will continue to do for the Company!

Karl Ulbrich, Safety Manager
|
As the Company’s Safety Manager, Karl has one of the most important jobs in the Company—making sure the proper steps are in place to ensure the safety of our employees, subcontractors, and customers while working. While safety has always been top priority for Hardman Construction, Karl has brought many improvements to the Company’s safety program over the past five years. Karl makes a point to be present in the field and work with each crew on safety concerns. His passion and knowledge for keeping Hardman Construction crews safe doesn’t go unnoticed and the entire Company looks forward to continued years working with Karl!
|
Jeff White came to work for Hardman Construction five years ago in the shop as a Truck Driver, although he does so much more for the Company than what his title might have one think. Jeff is typically transporting our large pieces of equipment to and from jobsites, which usually means squeezing into some tight spaces, which he does safely and without complaint. He is always jumping out to help load or unload equipment and does so with a positive and upbeat attitude. When he isn’t driving, he is willing to help with all sorts of tasks in the shop. Hardman is fortunate to have Jeff on the team!

Rachel Zeitler, Accounts Payable Specialist
|
Rachel is the Accounts Payable Specialist for Hardman Construction. In the past five short years, Rachel has really made this position her own. She has implemented new processes and taken on many tasks not traditionally seen in an Accounts Payable role. She has taken on the role as the expert of the administration side of the Company’s MDOT projects and continues to learn more advanced accounting practices. Rachel is always willing to help anyone with anything. She takes pride in her work, which shows in both her accuracy and quality. Rachel plays an important role for Hardman Construction and the team looks forward to working with her for many years to come!

FIFTEEN YEAR ANNIVERSARY
Rusty Reaume, Superintendent
|
Rusty Reaume entered the construction field as an apprentice and has grown into one of Hardman Construction’s most knowledgeable Superintendents. Rusty is extremely intelligent and has an incredible memory. He is able to recall specifics of past jobs as if they just happened. He takes great care with the work he produces, and his quality of work is top notch. Although Rusty is one of the Company’s leading bridge building Superintendents, he can step into any pretty much any other work technique the Company performs and lead the project successfully. He is always willing to step in and share his knowledge wherever needed. Rusty helps make the entire team successful!

TWENTY-FIVE YEAR ANNIVERSARY
Bob Jacobson III, Carpenter
|
Bob Jacobson III, otherwise known as B3 to his colleagues, has been with Hardman since 1997 as a Carpenter. Bob is a huge asset to the Hardman Construction team. He is one of those employees EVERY Superintendent wants on their job. He is willing to help the team in any way needed to get the job done safely and efficiently. Bob is one of the hardest workers you could meet, and his humble demeanor and quiet confidence is appreciated by everyone who works with him. The entire team appreciates Bob and looks forward to many more great years working with him!

THIRTY-FIVE YEAR ANNIVERSARY
Tom Monton, Superintendent
|
Tom Monton started his career with Hardman Construction in 1987 as a young laborer in the field and has become one of the Company’s most trusted Superintendents. Tom has a can-do attitude that not only drives his success, but the success of those he leads. He can see a project in motion even before any work has started and can visualize next steps seamlessly. Tom is a leader through and through and takes on some of the Company’s hardest projects without complaint, while training and leading his crews throughout the process. He welcomes any challenge and isn’t afraid to learn something new. Hardman Construction wouldn’t be the same without Tom leading in the field and it has been an honor having him spend his entire career with the Company!
