“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, And whose hope is the Lord. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, Which spreads out its roots by the river, And will not fear when heat comes; But its leaf will be green, And will not be anxious in the year of drought, Nor will cease from yielding fruit.
Jeremiah 17:7-8 NKJV
This verse describes the heart of my Larry. In a popular movie from 2003, the main character describes how someone built train tracks over the alps before there was a train powerful enough to make the trip. They did so in faith. This entire trip to Hungary has been like those old train tracks built before there was a train to travel on them.
Amidst the pain and uncertainty of the last months God has shown up in such sweet ways, reminding us that He is building the train on the tracks of our faith. As Larry excitedly reported this morning, "We are launching forward in assistance here in Hungary to the Jewish community in a way that perhaps could only have been dreamed of. More details to follow!" Stay tuned!
A Facebook post by Larry this morning brought the tears to my eyes as I read these words by the music group "Skillet":
"If we're gonna fly, we fly like eagles
Arms out wide
If we're gonna fear, we fear no evil
We will rise
By your power, we will go...
By your spirit, we are bold
If we're gonna stand, we stand as giants
If we're gonna walk, we walk as lions"
Continue to pray for Larry during this last week in Hungary before he returns to the States on the 28th. He has much to accomplish, with shipping, meetings with Survivors and the launching of several projects. Thank you for standing with The Lev Project!
