It may be hot in the 'Ville but that doesn't stop YOUR alumni association from working for Seneca High School. Join us for our next meeting, Tuesday, July 5, at 6:00 in the Band Room. Proceed to the rear entrance of the school and bear to the right. This will take you to some prime parking spots so that you can attend our meeting and offer your assistance. We would love to see you there.
Volunteering
 
We are always looking for volunteers. One of the things that would be very helpful in advancing Seneca Past and Present is the creation of an Archivist position.  Since all of our current volunteers are busy with various other activities, this position has never been filled.  If this is something you might be interested in spear-heading, please contact us!  We have done some work in this area but there is so much more we can do - but only with your help.
Hall of Fame Results
         
Be on the lookout for the results of the Hall of Fame Committee vote that happened at the end of May. As soon as the Committee releases results of the vote for the Inaugural Class of the Seneca Hall of Fame, we will publish on our website, on Facebook and in newsletters.  And make plans now to celebrate by attending the Hall of Fame festivities in the fall. We will keep you posted with all of the details.
Reunions
 
Reunion planning is in full swing. Check out this year's reunions on our website.
 
The Class of 1996 will celebrate their 20th reunion on July 29-30, 2016. On Friday, July 29, from 7pm - 12 midnight they will be at the Muhammad Ali Center. Enjoy a self-directed tour of the center, dinner provided by Ladyfingers Catering, dancing and a cash bar. The cost is $75 per person. On Saturday, July 30, bring the family to the Cherokee Park pavilion from 12 noon to 3pm for catering from Famous Dave's and family-friendly fun! Cost is $10 per person - children under 5 are free. The Class of 1976 will have their 40th reunion on October 22, 2016. It will be held in the Bluegrass Room at the Louisville Marriott East in Jeffersontown, located at 1903 Embassy Square Blvd, 40299. There ARE rooms available in a block for guests of the event! Contact information is available through Facebook here: Seneca High School Class of '76.

Give Local Louisville

This year, Seneca Past and Present is taking part in the annual Give Local Louisville campaign. This is a 24-hour period devoted to donating to local non-profits.  Since Seneca Past and Present is a registered 501c-3 organization, you can donate and help Seneca while also getting a tax break. It's a win-win for everybody!  This year Give Local Louisville will take place on September 15.  Stay tuned for more details as we approach that date!
